Home sweet home…almost

Our group has arrived safely in Phoenix and is laying down for some much needed rest.  Today has certainly been full and the entire team is wore out.  This morning, the team packed up and loaded the trailer and did final cleanup at the church where we stayed this past week.  When then took a 5 hour drive to visit the Grand Canyon.  I wish that words could describe what we saw, but they would not do it justice.  I’m not sure that even a picture of it displays the awesome wonder we saw with our eyes.  The group had an opportunity to hike down into the Canyon and every single person went the distance.  I have constantly been amazed and proud of our team.  Each team member gave it their all – all week long.  Whether we were hiking down into the Grand Canyon or painting on the Indian Reservation, the FSM team never complained and never left a job unfinished.  There was a touch of excellence in everything they did and I’m extremely proud of them.

In the morning, we’re giving the group a chance to sleep in a bit and then we’re loading the bus and heading for Sedona.  I’m excited because I believe Sedona to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, but even more than that, we will be baptizing 5 of our students in the river.  How incredible will it be for those students to be baptized in a place like a Sedona.  It will be an experience they will never forget and will be a step of obedience that will launch them into the next season of their spiritual walk.  After hiking in Sedona, we will return to our hotel for some worship together and then packing up to head home the next day.  It has been an amazing trip and we have seen God move in incredible ways.  I can’t wait to see how these students will take the change, the fire and passion inside of them home or to school and revolutionize the world around them.  These students are hungry and I am confident that God is using them.  What an honor to walk beside them!  Thank You, Father!
